Die diesjährige didacta hat das Querschnittsthema E-Learning aufgenommmen, das die Veranstalter in die drei Ebenen Schule, Hochschule und betriebliches Umfeld einteilen. The workshop themes cover many aspects of distance and lifelong learning, including vocational guidance and professional re-training, the role of instructional technology in scientific subjects implementation and the improvement of teachers and universities capacity building in developing countries. A specific session will be dedicated to the new flexible learning models, like e-learning, blended learning and triple learning. The Web 2.0 generation, mobile learning theories, practices and application together with the design and management of interactive m- environments will be further themes of the debate. Praxiserfahrene Anwender aus sieben wissenschaftlichen Einrichtungen erläutern typische Anwendungsszenarien der modernen Videokonferenztechnologien. "Mehr sehen - mehr verstehen" ist eine Veranstaltung, die dieses Mal an vier Orten in Deutschland und der Schweiz die Einsatzmöglichkeiten von Videokonferenztechnik in Lehre und Forschung demonstriert. Lernen ist ein Prozess, der viele verschiedene Wege geht. Moodle ist ein digitales System, dass einige dieser Wege begleiten und unterstützen kann, darüber hinaus aber auch viele weitere Möglichkeiten der Nutzung bietet. Die MoodleMoot 2010 in Berlin ist die deutsche Moodle-Anwenderkonferenz im Frühjahr 2010 und spricht Personen an, die Moodle in den Bereichen Hochschule, Schule, Weiterbildung und Unternehmen einsetzen und nutzen oder dies künftig planen. Kernthemen werden unter anderem sein: Moodle als Kooperationsbasis, als Lernraum oder als Lernwerkstatt. Der Blick soll dabei auch über Moodle hinaus gehen.

The 5th Plymouth e-Learning Conference will examine the theme of e-learning in a time of change, and will challenge notions of traditional boundaries, learning spaces and roles. Based on shared research interests between the two communities, IEEE WMUTE (International Conference on Wireless, Mobile and Ubiquitous Technologies in Education) and IEEE DIGITEL (International Conference on Digital Game and Intelligent Toy Enhanced Learning) conference 2010 will be jointly held in Kaohsiung Taiwan. Participants of both conferences will be able to interact and exchange ideas which we hope can stimulate more exciting ideas for future research. The convergence of global adoption of smart phones integrating hi-quality media capture devices and trends in social networking, participatory media and cyber infrastructure provide remarkable opportunities for making mobile social media integral to distributed learning environments. Social networking and user-generated media like YouTube, Facebook, Wikipedia and Flickr are moving beyond the stationary PC onto mobile devices like iPhone and low-price netbook computers. Social applications are also becoming a new communication and networking method in sectors such as business, entertainment and education. We expect to see mobile social media, incorporating video, photos, social networking and communication capabilities to be one of the major new applications for the mobile web, and we welcome contributions that help advance visions, technologies, research and theories to better support learning and educational purposes. Arguably the impact of mobile social media will be universal, augmenting with distributed social media tools the face-to-face social interactions that now enable learning and teaching interactions. Learners may tap social networks and recommendations for learning in pursuit of their interests over informal and formal settings. Students could learn from a broader universe of user-generated content, beyond “prescribed” content provided by teachers or textbooks. The mobile social network can potentially foster richer parent-child interactions for learning, and enable different parent roles supporting education, and more vibrant and productive interactions between learning at school, home and neighborhood. In classroom settings, mobile devices can enrich interactivity and inter-operability of digital expression and potentially provide supervision and decision support for teachers. The well-documented powers of informal learning in workplaces can be served well with social mobile media. Therefore, WMUTE 2010 hopes to initiate a new line of research and practice that highlights both social and technological innovation in order to support and amalgamate contemporary social learning theories. This theme-based conference will expose the results of current research efforts in this field as well as identify future challenges and research priorities.

Immer mehr Absolventen entscheiden sich nach dem Medizinstudium für einen anderen Berufsweg als den des Arztes. Muss das Medizinstudium also grundsätzlich umgebaut werden? Müssen Praxisanteile verstärkt, Fall- und Problem-basierte Lernangebote ausgebaut werden? Wie kann es gelingen, Medizinstudierende für die Wissenschaft zu gewinnen? Können die vielerorts entstehenden Reformstudiengänge den hochgesteckten Erwartungen gerecht werden? Und wie können neue Lehr- und Lerntechnologien dabei helfen, die komplexen Lerninhalte didaktisch sinnvoller und nachhaltiger zu vermitteln? Welche Rolle spielen Communities, mobile Anwendungen, Wikipedia, Online-Kurse und Google? Diese Fragen und Aspekte sind Gegenstand einer eintägigen Veranstaltung zu den Perspektiven des Medizinstudiums in Deutschland, zu der die Thieme Verlagsgruppe gemeinsam mit der Medizinischen Fakultät der Universität Tübingen sowie dem Centrum für Hochschulentwicklung einlädt.

5th Interantional Conference on ICT for Delvelopment, Education and Training - eLearning Africa is delighted to announce that next year’s conference, the fifth in the highly successful series of pan-African gatherings, will take place in Zambia under the patronage of the Zambian Minister of Education, the Honourable Ms Dora Siliya. From May 26th–28th, 2010, the Continent’s largest annual assembly of eLearning and education professionals from Africa and beyond will convene in the capital, Lusaka. Moving to Zambia in 2010, eLearning Africa continues to build and expand a worldwide network for people involved in all aspects of technology-enhanced education and training in Africa, including management and policymaking. As with the previous conferences, eLearning Africa 2010 will be conducted in both English and French. The Call for Papers is now open!

This year's EduComm will be held at the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV June 7-9, 2010. The EduComm 2010 is meant to "bring together top thought leaders, innovators, and speakers to present, discuss, and navigate the unprecedented challenges and opportunities shaping the future of higher education." There are five program tracks and a number of keynotes scheduled. The opening keynote speaker is Scott McNealy, founder of Sun Microsystems. Other presentations will be delivered by New York Times tech columnist David Pogue and representatives from Google, Apple, and Microsoft. Registration is now open!

ICELW ist eine internationale Konferenz mit speziellem Fokus auf E-Learning im Arbeitsbereich. Mit Teilnehmern aus dem universitären Bereich aber auch aus Unternehmen arbeitet die ICELW Gemeinschaft an einem E-Learning-Angebot, das einen messbaren Unterschied in der Leistung und Motivation am Arbeitsplatz mit sich bringt. Der Schwerpunkt wird auf Demonstration von erfolgreichem E-Learning liegen und der Anwendung von neuen Forschungsergebnissen auf praktische Schwierigkeiten beim Lernen im Arbeitsbereich.

EDEN puts emphasis on the balanced representation of genders among speakers thus invites and encourages particularly women to take active part in the conference also by submitting paper proposals for the event. Selection process will attach special attention to equity, in order to avoid gender bias among speakers. EDEN is committed to provide equal access and opportunity for all services made available. Dieses Jahr beschäftigt sich die 6. EduMedia Fachtagung mit der "Lernenden Organisation 2.0". Im Mittelpunkt der Vorträge, Fachdiskussionen und Workshops stehen folgende Fragestellungen: Welche Veränderungen bringt die Digitalisierung unseres Lebens im beruflichen Alltag mit sich? Welchen Einfluss haben die neuen Internettechnologien auf das vernetzte Lernen und Handeln in Organisationen? Wie und wohin verändert sich die Lern- und Organisationskultur? Welche - und wenn ja, wieviele - digitale Identitäten hat jemand im Unternehmen? Welche Reputation und Macht wird im Netz verteilt? Was passiert mit all den irgendwo im Netz gespeicherten Informationen (Spuren), wie wird man die wieder los? Was bringen Soziale Netzwerke und Dienste im Web für berufliche Lernprozesse, für Projektarbeit, zur Entwicklung von Innovations- und Kreativräumen? Muss jeder bei Web 2.0 Trends mitmachen? Welche positiven, welche negativen Effekte können auftreten? Wie sind solche Netzwerke in Unternehmen richtig einsetzbar? The T4E 2010 will provide a forum to bring together colleagues interested in promoting learning and teaching through the use of technology. Proposals are invited from students, teachers and researchers in academia and industry to present results of their research and development efforts and discuss further directions. We expect that, similar to previous year, IEEE's technical co-sponsorship will lead to the inclusion of accepted and presented papers in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.

Wissenschaftler und Praktiker, Forscher, Produzenten und Anwender werden sich zusammen finden, um über aktuelle Themen zu diskutieren und gemeinsam neue Ideen zum Lehren und Lernen mit digitalen Medien zu entwickeln. Die eLBa 2010 widmet sich Aspekten von eLearning in ganz unterschiedlichen institutionellen und informellen Kontexten: in Kindergarten und Schule, Berufs­ausbildung und Hochschule, am Arbeitsplatz und in der Freizeit. Sie wird Konzeption und Entwicklung, Theorie und Technolo­gie, Implementierung und Evaluation von eLearning aus der Perspek­tive der Pädagogik, der Psychologie und der Informatik sowie aus transdisziplinärer Perspektive betrachten. Entsprechend werden Experten aus all diesen Disziplinen eingeladen, zur eLBa 2010 beizutragen. Wie auch zuvor besteht auch die eLBa 2010 aus drei Teilen. The main objective of the conference is to promote and disseminate the experiences in New Technologies and E-learning applied to Education in all fields and disciplines. EDULEARN10 will be a unique International Forum for those who wish to present their projects and discuss the latest innovations and results in the field of New Technologies in Education, E-learning and methodologies applied to Education and Research. This conference will be held at international level. The attendance of more than 500 delegates from 65 different countries is expected. The deadline for abstracts submission is the 1st of April 2010.

Should it be postponed to a further deadline or should we set a new one, e.g. on digital identity?” *Key Competencies 2010, the 4th international conference on skills for life: Parallel zur E-Portfolio Tagung findet die vierte internationale Tagung zu Schlüsselqualifikationen statt. Themen sind unter anderem politische Rahmenbedingungen, Beschäftigungsfähigkeit und Komptenzentwicklung.

Die Konferenzserie International Network Conference besteht seit 1998 und bringt Wissenschaftler, Forscher, Studenten und Praktiker aus vielen Ländern zusammen. Die Themen der Konferenz INC2010 sind auf der Webseite gelistet und liegen in den Bereichen "Internetanwendungen und Technologien", "Netzwerke und Mobilität", "Anwendungen und deren Auswirkungen" und "Security". Im Rahmen der Konferenz werden drei Workshops mit kontroversen Themen angeboten: "Next Generation Networks - Next Revenues", "Security vs. Usability" und "The Pedagogy of eLearning". Veranstaltet wird diese Konferenz von der Hochschule Darmstadt und der University of Plymouth, die Konferenzsprache ist Englisch. Leiter der Konferenz sind Prof. Dr. Udo Bleimann (Darmstadt) und Prof. Dr. Steven M. Furnell (Plymouth).

Durch eine möglichst breite Bandbreite an Veranstaltungsformen soll die PLE Conference 2010 Raum zum Austausch von Ideen, Erfahrungen und Forschungsergebnissen zur Entwicklung und Implementierung von PLEs geben. Neben den Face-to-Face Sitzungen wird es verschiedene Online-Spaces zu der Veranstaltung geben.

IADIS Multi Conference on Computer Science and Information Systems 2010 - Die IADIS e-Learning 2010 Konferenz adressiert E-Learning Kernthemen. Die Tagung deckt sowohl grundlegende technologische als auch darüber hinausgehende Aspekte ab. Die Proceedings der Tagung werden in Buchform CD-ROM mit ISBN Kennnummer veröffentlicht und werden in der IADIS Digital Library archiviert.

Call for Papers - BaSoTI is a Baltic Summer School Series in Technical Computer Science, held 2005 and 2006 in Vilnius, 2007 in Riga, 2008 and 2009 in Tartu and 2010 in Kaunas. Complementary to the Summer School, which addresses young Master students, a conference will take place as a collocated two‐day scientific event, aimed at giving PhD students the possibility of gaining first conference experience. The talks will take place until afternoon of August 21st. In the evening of August 21st there will be a alumni meeting and a social event together with the participants of the summer school. For the participants of the summer school, additional preconference tutorials are held in the morning of August 20th, to allow a smoother transition from the Master level to a research oriented PhD level. The conference is open for submissions of researchers at all levels and from all countries. It is specifically directed at PhD researchers and collaborators of the BaSoTI cooperation.

Zusammen mit der I-SEMANTICS 2010 findet am 1. bis 3. September 2010 die 10th International Conference on Knowledge Management and Knowledge Technologies (iKnow 2010) im Messe Congress Graz, Österreich statt. In den wissenschaftlichen Tracks und dem Praxisforum werden Experten aus den Bereichen des Wissensmanagement und der Wissenstechnologie zusammen kommen.Keynote Speaker: Prof. Marti Hearst, professor in the School of Information at the University of California, Berkeley. Titel des Vortrags: Emerging Trends in Search User Interfaces. In ihrem Vortag wird Prof. Marti Hearst Ideen und Trends vorstellen, die ihrer Meinung nach die Suche im Internet beeinflussen werden.

Auf der ALT-C 2010, der 17. internationalen Konferenz der "Association for Learning Technology" mit dem Titel "Into something rich and strange - making sense of the sea-change", werden die folgenden Themen den Grundstein legen: "the changing paradigms and structures for learning; increasing productivity and effectiveness, whilst mitigating risks; responding to and shaping the organisational landscape; meeting the changing expectations and needs of learners, employers, and society; the changing design skills and knowledge needed to support learning and teaching with technology."

Unter dem Motto „Interaktive Kulturen“ geht die zehnte Konferenz Mensch & Computer gemeinsam mit DeLFI 2010 den vielschichtigen Fragen der Mensch-Technik-Interaktion, des Lernens mit digitalen Medien und der digitalen Vernetzung in Gruppen und Gemeinschaften nach. Die Konferenz findet im Kontext der Europäischen Kulturhauptstadt RUHR.2010 statt und lädt dazu ein, die vielfältigen Bezüge zwischen digitalen Medien und Kultur zu explorieren. Ein besonderer Bezug wird durch den speziellen Thementrack „Entertainment Interfaces“ hergestellt, in dem interaktive Aspekte von unterhaltungsbezogenen Medien – speziell von Computerspielen – Gegenstand der wissenschaftlichen Diskussion sein werden. Das Programmkommitee wird geleitet von Michael Kerres, Heinz Ulrich Hoppe, Nadine Ojstersek und Ulrik Schroeder.

Die Universität Zürich richtet die 15. Europäische Jahrestagung der GMW unter dem Motto „Digitale Medien für Lehre und Forschung“ aus. Bereits an der Pre-Conference werden die Tagungsschwerpunkte in interaktiver Form bearbeitet. An der GMW’10 wird die Thematik mit Veranstaltungen in unterschiedlichen Formaten diskutiert. Dies soll vor allem den ausgesprochen intensiven Austausch zwischen allen Teilnehmenden ermöglichen.

Die neunte Ausgabe der jährlichen Tagung „European Conference on e-Learning“ findet unter dem Motto "Using Intelligent Technologies to Support e-Learning" am „Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto” statt. Methodisch und thematisch ist die Tagung sehr offen ausgerichtet. Aus der Beschreibung: „The conference committee welcomes contributions on a wide range of topics using a range of scholarly approaches including theoretical and empirical papers employing qualitative, quantitative and critical methods. Action research, case studies and work-in-progress/posters are welcomed approaches. PhD Research, proposals for roundtable discussions, non-academic contributions and product demonstrations based on the main themes are also invited.“

Die Campus Innovation 2010 und der VIII. Konferenztag Studium und Lehre der Universität Hamburg tagen gemeinsam im Curio-Haus Hamburg. Die Veranstaltungskooperation geht somit bereits in das dritte Jahr, und die sehr hohen und 2009 nochmals angestiegenen Teilnehmerzahlen belegen das große Interesse der Fachcommunity an dieser Konferenz.
