GMW-Workshop "Web 2.0 - E-learning 2.0 - Quality 2.0"

Download a lecture from the seminar web page as a pod cast in the morning, take part in an online session of an international studying group for the purpose of preparing for an exam in the afternoon and log into the virtual world of Second Life to take part in a tutorial relating to the morning`s lecture - the daily routine of studying looks like this or similar more and more often. In companies, online trainings are no longer visions of a distant future, but reality for more and more employees. Teaching and learning is changing as well. The term "e-learning" comprises the use of online tools such as blogs, wikis or pod casts for learning an teaching. Learners can create their own contents and exchange information in networks like the video platform
YouTube. In many cases, reality looks different still and e-earning means merely putting seminar texts online on a learning platform. Stephan Downes, who choined the term "e-learning 2.0", describes it with words such as "learner centered", "immersive learning", "connected learning", "game-based learning", "workflow (informal) learning", "mobile learning". But what is really meant by that? What constitutes the new, innovative element that is described by Web 2.0 (Tim O`Reily 2004/5) and e-learning 2.0? And above all: Will this development have consequences for quality assurances, management and development in e-learning? And if so: Do we need new methods and concepts to improve an assure the quality of e-learning 2.0. Thes questions are the therms for the interactive expert workshop.

Stellenausschreibung: TU Braunschweig
Die Technische Universität CAROLO-WILHELMINA zu Braunschweig sucht für das Kompetenzzentrum Hochschuldidaktik für Niedersachsen (KHN) zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt
eine/n wissenschaftliche/n Hilfskraft
für das vom Ministerium für Wissenschaft und Kultur geförderte Projekt "Multimedial und Aktiv - E-Learning in der Hochschullehre" (21,5 h / Woche). Die Stelle ist auf zwei Jahre befristet.
Eine zentrale Aufgabe des Kompetenzzentrums Hochschuldidaktik für Niedersachsen sind Weiterbildungsveranstaltungen zur Qualifizierung von Lehrpersonen an allen niedersächsischen Hochschulen. Das Thema E-Learning soll mit diesem Projekt niedersachsenweit in die Weiterbildungslandschaft integriert werden.
Ihre Aufgaben:
Sie unterstützen die Projektkoordination durch
- Mitarbeit in der Öffentlichkeitsarbeit, Qualitätsmanagement und Evaluation
- Regelmäßig Teilnahme an Projekttreffen
- Vor- und Nachbereitung von Besprechungen
- Kommunikation mit Projektbeteiligten
- Weitere organisatorische Aufgaben, wie z.B. Tagungsbüro bei Veranstaltungen etc.
Ihr Profil:
- Hochschulstudium in Erziehungswissenschaft oder einer anderen sozialwissenschaftlichen Fachrichtung (Bachelor o. Master)
- Gute PC Kenntnisse einschl. Internetnutzung, gute Kenntnisse der gängigen Bürosoftware, Kenntnisse von SPSS von Vorteil
- Erfahrungen mit E-Learning/ Blended Learning von Vorteil
- organisatorisches Geschick und Teamfähigkeit
- gute Ausdrucksfähigkeit in Wort und Schrift

Call for Papers: 2nd Annual International Conference on Technology for Education (T4E)
July 1-3, 2010 in Mumbai, India
The T4E 2010 will provide a forum to bring together colleagues interested in promoting learning and teaching through the use of technology. Proposals are invited from students, teachers and researchers in academia and industry to present results of their research and development efforts and discuss further directions. We expect that, similar to previous year, IEEE's technical co-sponsorship will lead to the inclusion of accepted and presented papers in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.

Die heutige Tagung "Qualität im E-Learning" an der Ruhr-Universität Bochum wird live bei e-teaching.org übertragen.

Vom 9. bis 15. Mai 2010 findet im spanischen Barcelona die sechste Tagung
„Advanced International Conference on Telecommunications“
