DESCRIPTION:The „International Conference on Cognition and Exploratory L
 earning in Digital Age” (CELDA) 2014 aims to address the main issues con
 cerned with evolving learning processes and supporting pedagogies and appl
 ications in the digital age. There have been advances in both cognitive ps
 ychology and computing that have affected the educational arena. The conve
 rgence of these two disciplines is increasing at a fast pace and affecting
  academia and professional practice in many ways. Paradigms such as just-i
 n-time learning\, constructivism\, student-centered learning and collabora
 tive approaches have emerged and are being supported by technological adva
 ncements such as simulations\, virtual reality and multi-agents systems. T
 hese developments have created both opportunities and areas of serious con
 cerns. This conference aims to cover both technological as well as pedagog
 ical issues related to these developments. Main tracks have been identifie
 d. However innovative contributions that do not easily fit into these area
 s will also be considered as long as they are directly related to the over
 all theme of the conference – cognition and exploratory learning in the 
 digital age.
