DESCRIPTION:The Online\, Open and Flexible Higher Education Conference - T
 ransforming higher education in the 21st Century\; Innovating pathways to 
 learning and continuous professional education. \nEADTU’s annual Confere
 nce 2015 is hosted by the FernUniversität in Hagen. Scope: Technology-bas
 ed teaching and learning lead to the transformation of higher education. T
 hrough new modes of teaching and learning\, three complementary education
 al areas are emerging in European higher education: (1) blended and online
  degree education\; (2) flexible continuous education and continuous profe
 ssional development online\, including new types of short programmes\; and
  (3) online open education through OERs and MOOCs. Although their costs a
 nd business models differ significantly\, they are interdependent. Institu
 tional development in higher education should embrace a holistic perspecti
 ve\, developing these areas separately\, but also integrating them in prac
 tice. It is expected that in Europe\, each of these areas will expand in t
 he near future. They will lead to excellence\, innovation and inclusion an
 d will affect international education by supporting collaborative courses 
 and curricula and virtual mobility. Themes:  Policies in the changing peda
 gogical landscape\; Empowering universities for the modernisation of highe
 r education\; Blended education\; Flexible continuing education and new ty
 pes of courses\; Open education and MOOCs\; Learning analytics and learnin
 g technologies. Deadline for submission of abstracts: 1 May 2015.
