 e is considered of great importance within the renewed Lisbon strategy (Pr
 esidency Conclusions March 2008) and as a part of lifelong learning strate
 gies (2006 Recommendation on key competences).\n\nThe conference is organi
 sed by the European Commission and Cedefop in partnership with the e-Skill
 s Industry Leadership Board. It will bring together experts from governmen
 t\, ICT industry\, social partners\, academia and other stakeholders. The 
 conference will present and discuss best practices\, flagship projects and
  report on progress. Participation at the conference is free of charge but
  on invitation only.
