 Education for the Future”. Innovative and advanced technologies includin
 g ICT\, media\, and tools currently create new possibilities of education 
 and learning. In exploring the impact and potential of these technologies\
 , it is indispensable not only to develop individual educational systems w
 ith these technologies\, but also to build new theories representing what 
 and how learners could learn with the technologies\, and how the education
 al systems need to be designed with the technologies. In addition\, it is 
 also important to accumulate lessons learned from practical uses of the ed
 ucational systems following the theories. The interaction between such the
 oretical and practical aspects of integrating the innovative and advanced 
 technologies into educational systems would construct new fundamentals of 
 technology-enhanced learning\, which would be one direction ICCE should pu
 rsue. The fundamentals would shape the future of Computers in Education.
