DESCRIPTION:Media & Learning 2014 will provide a platform to those respons
 ible for creating\, promoting and using media in the classroom\, on and of
 f campus as well as in training and lifelong learning centres. Aimed at bo
 th policy makers and practitioners\, the purpose of this annual event is t
 o identify policies and initiatives that promote digital and media compete
 nce at all levels of education and training as well as to promote best-pra
 ctice in the take-up and application of media in education and training. \
 nAt this conference participants will be discussing the urgency of embeddi
 ng digital and media literacy skills amongst the European workforce as wel
 l as how best to convince stakeholders about the importance of embedding d
 igital and media skills amongst learning professionals and learners at all
  levels of education and training. \nThe conference will include practical
  learning opportunities\, information sessions and sessions linked to the 
 MEDEA Awards 2014 (http://www.medea-awards.com). These sessions will featu
 re winners and finalists from the past and current competitions. \nThere w
 ill be a full day pre-conference workshop on video in higher education on 
 November 19\, 2014.
