Call for Abstracts: 36th International Association for Educational Assessment (IAEA) Annual Conference

Die 36te internationale Jahrestagung der “Association for Educational Assessment (IAEA)” findet vom 22. bis 27 August 2010 in Bangkok, Thailand statt. Motto der Veranstaltung ist“Assessment for the Future Generations”.

Aus der Beschreibung:“The present educational practice aims to equip the world’s future citizens with competency, skills, and attitude that pave the way for achievement of individuals and lead to advancement at a global scale. Tomorrow’s accomplishment has to be built upon today’s solid foundation that appropriately matches the projected challenges of the future context. Effective assessment provides a mean to monitor and diagnose the progress of how our future citizens are being prepared. Present assessment practice drives the educational system, shapes the future global workforce and influences tomorrow’s society. Assessment is required to measure knowledge, application, higher order thinking and sustained competency. The conference invites participants to examine assessment policy, practice and innovations by considering its value, meaning, breadth, depth and sustainability. If assessment directs the future, where are we heading now?”

Folgende Themen stehen im Mittelpunkt der Tagung:„Classroom Assessment, Instrument and its Effectiveness, Needs and Standards, Policy and Practice, Theory and its Application.”
