Everybody learns, but the ways in which we learn are changing rapidly. The 20th annual conference of the Association for Learning Technology (ALT) sets out to explore and contribute to building new cultures of learning. From learning tailored to the requirements of one individual to courses educating tens of thousands, the conference will examine evolving learning cultures. Its five main themes are: It's all about the learner, Making technological innovation work, Big data, In the Open, Learning cultures. Conference keynotes: Stephen Downes, senior researcher for Canada’s National Research Council. Wendy Hall, Dean of the University of Southampton’s Faculty of Physical and Applied Sciences. Rachel Wenstone, Vice-President (Higher Education) of the National Union of Students. Invited speakers to include Chris Pegler, Paul Gentle, Lawrence Ragan and Bruce Chaloux.
