ALT startet Open Course für E-Teacher

Die in England angesiedelte Association for Learning Technologies (ALT) startet im April den "Open Course in Technology Enhanced Learning", kurz ocTEL der sich an Hochschullehrende richtet, die mehr darüber erfahren wollen, wie man mit Medien die Lehre und das Lernen untertützen kann. Voraussichtliche Dauer des Kurses ist 15. April bis 21. Juni 2013.

"ocTEL is designed and run by members of the Association for Learning Technology (ALT) and has the potential to raise the profile and capability of learning technology across sectors. Most of the writing and tutor support is being provided on a voluntary basis.

The kinds of topics we expect to cover include

  • Induction: how this course works, who can help
  • Openness and standards
  • Options for the material, sizing effort, lead times, hardware and software needs, costs
  • On line assessment
  • Accessibility
  • Students in transition between sectors
  • Environments and administration
  • Using social media and games
  • Group activity
  • Tutoring and supporting on line
  • Feedback and responding
  • The student perspective
  • Networking and further information
