Upcoming e-teaching.org webinar: "Digital Higher Education in Europe"

25.10.2016 | Themenspecial

As part of the current feature on "education policy in a digital age" e-teaching.org hosts a webinar, which discusses the digitisation of higher education on a European level. It will take place on 7th of November 2016 at 2 p.m. (CET). Join us and get in touch with the DACH expert community for technology-supported learning in higher education.

The webinar is a cooperation between e-teaching.org (about us) and the German Forum for Higher Education in the Digital Age (Hochschulforum Digitalisierung).

It addresses the notion that the ongoing digitisation in society leads to a widening of learning contexts across the boundaries of educational institutions, regions and even across countries. How will and how should learning look like under such circumstances? Which are the prerequisites to establish long-lasting international cooperations and how can quality be assured in educational programmes on a European level?

We discuss these questions with our expert speakers...

  • Prof. Dr. Ulf-Daniel Ehlers, vice president of the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University and vice president of the European Association of Institutes of Higher Education (EURASHE)
  • Dr. Christine Redecker, scientific officer at the Joint Research Center (JRC) of the European Commission
  • Sandra Kucina Softic M.Sc., assistant director for education and user support at the University of Zagreb, commitee member of the European Distance and E-Learning Network (EDEN)

Philip Meyer (research associate at e-teaching.org) will anchor the discussion.

Bring in your expertise in the chat. No registration ist needed to participate. A recording of the webinar will be made publicly available afterwards. The webinar room opens at 1:45 p.m. (CET).
